Step 1: Fix wedding date and wedding venue
First step in the stage of deciding wedding theme and going about the entire planning process starts with finalising a wedding date and deciding a wedding venue, as all the other arrangements depend upon things like number of guests attending the wedding, What of the year is the wedding happening and whether venue is indoors or outdoors.

Your wedding theme in a way is a reflection of your own personality, therefore you must write down everything that you have in mind regarding your wedding theme and then start with deciding what’s best and should be selected in the final theme.
Step 3: Be involved with the wedding planner
Remember that your role is not over just by hiring a good wedding planner. Your real job lies in helping your wedding planner understand what exactly you want. The better you explain your idea, the better they will be able to deliver. A lot of times things don’t turn out as per expectations because of lack of communication between the wedding planners and the families that hires them. It’s a common observation that families mostly hire a wedding planner and then sit and relax, hoping everything will be sorted and done by them. Do not forget at the end of the day they might end up selecting colour of their choice or music of their choice if you don’t help them understand your likes and dislikes. They can deliver best only when enough clarity is given to them at every step.
Step 4: Final execution
Finally, after all the planning is done it’s time to get on ‘mission execution’. This part will not be too difficult if every detail is carefully worked out in the planning stage. You will now have to meet all the respective vendors with your planners and check what ever is being delivered is as per your expectations. Although your wedding planner will take care of most of the detail, however it never hurts to be little updated about what exactly is going on.
